The Minutes of the Committee Meeting held on the 29th May 2018 were agreed to be correct. Approved by John Winchester and seconded by Dave Evans.

No matters arising.

Revue of our new season so far: We have entered various external competitions with some success coming 2nd in the Swindon Battle and 5th out of eleven in our own Multibattle last week which was won jointly by Swindon CC and Stratton CC. We were not successful at the Kingswood Salver but at least we entered this year.

The Photofest Exhibition held at the Heritage Centre during Calne Music and Arts Festival week was a great success with a record number of visitors. Eighteen members showed a total of 104 prints. We will invite Bobby Muckle to present the Pete Muckle trophy and reveal the Photofest winning print, as voted for by the public, when we meet for our annual awards evening next spring.

It was agreed that administration for the multibattle next year would be clearly split with John Winchester handling club invitations, application forms and receipt of entry fees, whilst images submitted would go directly to our competition sec. The possibility of holding future multi-battles at the Lansdowne Hall was discussed and it was agreed that this could be done if the event coincided with half term (end of Oct) and that we could make a frame to hold a large projector screen.

George Dyne has requested that competitions be spread out to ease work load to avoid the recent situation were the multibattle was preceded by an internal completion the previous week.

Forthcoming events: The WCPF DPIC Competition is in Exeter on 10th Feb 2019. Deadline for entry is 13th Jan but we need to select our images before Christmas. (18 images 1600 x 1200).The Warminster Print Battle is also in February.

Forthcoming Programme: John Winchester reported that most competition nights will be on the 3rd Monday of the month. We have Sophie Lanfear coming in Jan (BBC national history). Also Steve Wright (landscape) and Nick Upton in February (Re-Wilding Wiltshire), with an Olympus presentation in March. Dave Evans requested that periodic comps and speakers be scheduled to use the New Meeting Room if possible (PCC use the NMR on the 2nd Mon). It was agreed once again to close for a summer break during July and August but possibly have some informal outings during this time.

Treasurers Report: Mike Thomas reported that we currently have 43 paid up members which is a record number. The bank balance on 22/11/18 is £1399.71. Multibattle income is £412 with two Clubs still to pay their entry, expenses are £174.95, leaving a profit so far of £237.05. Honorary Member: It was unanimously agreed to invite Roger Bryan to become an honorary member in recognition of his previous contribution to the club.

Role changes: David Evans will be taking on George Dynes competition duties for the moment and therefore Mark Somerville will help with the Chairman’s role. Simon Hughes has volunteered to join the committee to help Mark Briscoe. This was approved by John Winchester and seconded by Mark Briscoe. Pete Evans said he can take on more duties in the future. Nick Jackson has agreed to assist as equipment officer with Dennis.

The meeting closed at 20.35.
